ANIMAL FEED
The nutritional profile of the Black Soldier Fly Larvae (protein, fats and minerals) makes it attractive as a feed ingredient for fish, pigs, poultry and even domestic pets like cats and dogs.
Feed producers are sourcing alternative, sustainable, climate proof ingredients and insect meal is a viable substitute for existing protein sources such as fish meal and soybean meal.
CHITIN / CHITINASE
Chitin is a compound of value to the pharmaceutical, biomedical and cosmetics industries.  It is most commonly sourced from shellfish like crabs and shrimp, however it is also found in insects i.e. black soldier fly.
We are currently investigating the extraction of chitin from Black Soldier Fly Larve as a potential ingredient for a range of products.
 SOIL CONDITIONER
Even the waste from the Black Soldier Fly farming process (frass) has a value as an all-natural fertilizer.  It contains a nutrient dense blend of  N-P-K and minerals suitable for application to market gardens and vineyards.
